Brahma House Services Available to Homeless Youth
While we wait for the facility repairs to be completed, the services offered by Brahma House are still available for homeless youth.
Our "Street SMART" street outreach program continues to provide outreach for homeless youth and our "walk-in" service is still available.
Homeless youth can also seek services by calling or coming to Brahma House or Passages. Case managers are available to coordinate services and provide crisis counseling. In addition, youth who may be referred by the family court will still be housed through our network of licensed shelter providers with whom we have established cooperative agreements. All of these activities are coordinated through our Brahma House staff.
Brahma House Recovery Continues
We found this written in one of the drawers while moving furniture upstairs at Brahma House.
Brahma House continues to recover from the March 28, 2007 flood. We have made significant progress renovations and expect the HVAC and electrical work to be completed this week.
All of the work is expected to continue for another month. Our target date for finishing the work is May 15, 2007.
We are doing our best to reopen as quickly as possible. I will keep you posted on our progress.

In the aftermath of the Passages flood we were able to complete our work there by purchasing new furniture for the girls and boys bedrooms. New items include armoires, dressers and beds. The kids love the new furnishings and the bedrooms never looked better.
As always, thank you all for your continued hard work on behalf of our youth.
Sincerely,
