Graduation/Volunteer Party
When: Monday, June 28th at 5:00PM
Where: My Place - 5 Third Avenue (Park at Passages on Fourth Ave)
Come out and wish our graduates well and help us thank our volunteers. Also, our newly renovated My Place group home will be available for tours. Please plan to attend!
My Place Update
The My Place renovation project is coming to a close and this week we have seen painting and finish work dominate the work being done. All of the plumbing fixtures were installed and the whole project will be 99% completed this week!
Brahma Solar Update
We have just been issued construction permits for our Brahma solar panel project and we expect the project to be completed in just a few short weeks. It will be nice to see this project completed and put the sun to work saving us on energy costs.
Energy Audit Completed on TLP Buildings
We have completed our energy audit of the Transitional Living buildings and been found to be eligible for a number of "weatherization services". Over the next few weeks don't be surprised if you see workmen in the attic, basement and everywhere in between adding features to make our buildings more energy efficient.
All of these improvements are conducted by a certified weatherization technician and funded under the federal American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA). Some of the free services are: hot water heater blankets, insulators for light fixtures in the attic and insulators behind every switch plate and receptacle.
As always, thank you all for your continued hard work on behalf of our youth.
Sincerely,
