Holiday Celebrations a Huge Hit
Last Thursday staff took the kids to New York City for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular show, dinner and a visit to the tree in Rockefeller Plaza.
On Tuesday, we had the kids parties with Santa (Ray Fantuzzi) and we all sang Santa's favorite song, "The 12 Days of Christmas" ... "with gusto" and to everyone's enjoyment. The gifts were wrapped over dozens of hours and unwrapped in 40 minutes.
Our kids seemed more appreciative and happier than ever but the evening was not without drama as a few of our youth were dealing with real life problems and unable to completely focus on the holiday celebration. However, the many sometimes tense situations were eventually resolved.
I was very happy to see so many staff attend the staff party and take time to spend time with each other for a few hours. Also, congratulations to our award recipients -- your commitment is humbling.
Thank you all for making these holiday memories for our kids. This is one experience they won't soon forget.
The dance floor was the place to be at the annual staff party Tuesday night!
