First resident moves into Brahma House
Brahma House reopened on Monday June 25th, almost three months from the day it closed, March 28th. The first youth was admitted within minutes of our opening. We are currently holding total admissions to six youth while fine tune operational issues related to staff recruitment, policy development and training. Over the next two weeks we will expand our occupancy to sixteen youth.
Our renovations spanned the full three months and total $100,000!

Graduates!
The graduation party cake (above) didn't look like this for very long!
On Wednesday, June 27th we acknowledged and celebrated our Passages, My Place and Whitney House graduates and continuing college students. Somerset Home was proud to distribute nearly $3,000 in scholarship funds from our endowment fund to these students.
Stacy Basara of Pathways operated the grill in 100 degree heat and turned out a dozens of hot dogs and hamburgers while kids and staff socialized at the picnic area of our My Place transitional living program.
Krystal Vanderbeek, also of Pathways, planned the celebration and did a great job organizing things, as always. Thank you to all who helped make this a very special event and most importantly...congratulations to all of our graduates!
As always, thank you all for your continued hard work on behalf of our youth.
Sincerely,
