My Place I - Deck Time
The new deck is ready for Spring! We built the new deck at My Place I too late to use much before the cold weather was upon us. However, we are now ready to enjoy the mild weather and extra outdoor living space that this new addition provides.
Somerset Home has just received bids on our My Place I site work project and the best views on this major landscaping project slated to begin later this Spring will be from the deck!
Good News on Agency Health Insurance
We have received for the (first time ever) an 8% reduction in our health insurance premium!
Our new base rate (for our free to the employee) basic insurance plan (Plan 00) is now $306.36. We offer three plans: the "00" plan, the "01" plan and the "02" plan.
The old rate was $336.16. (That is a reduction of $29.80 per month). The $306.36 is the credit that is the base credit that is applied for you to purchase upgraded health insurance products. For example, husband and wife on the 00 plan will now cost the employee $153.85 per month (a $61.29 per month reduction). Parent and child will now cost the employee $508.03 (a savings of $47.53 per month). Our base rate for the 01 plan for the employee is now $347.20. The old rate was $380.24. That is a reduction of $33.04. It will cost a single employee $40.84 per month to have this plan.
The 02 single rate is now $374.51. The old rate was $404.57 for a single. That is a reduction of $30.06 per month. It will cost a single employee $68.15 per pay to have this insurance at the new rate.
And remember, all of the premiums paid by the employee are paid with pre-tax dollars so that represents an additional savings.
I know this is quite complicated but the bottom line is that if you are paying for one of the upgraded plans (01, 02) you will start seeing a savings effective April.
My Place II - Almost ready...
We have finally finished our renovations at My Place II and are preparing for an opening date of April 19, 2006!
