Whitney House Deck Completed
The new Whitney House deck was finished last week. The 18' x 26' deck will give us plenty of room for outdoor living.
The landscaping and emergency exit (cellar stair) projects are next on the list of improvements for Whitney House.
New TLP Picnic Tables
Our six new new picnic tables were assembled by George at Whitney House last week. The new picnic tables will be used for My Place and Whitney House.
Operating Grants
I am pleased to announce the following new operating grants:
$8,000 - Johnson and Johnson
Family of Companies for the Pathways Financial Literacy program
$10,000 - Ethicon, Inc. for the Brahma House Transitional Learning Center
$200,000 - USHHS for the Brahma House Basic Center Program
Transitional Learning Center Welcomes New Education Coordinator
I would like to extend a big welcome to our new education coordinator, Yuna Hsueh. The summer will be over soon and our Transitional Learning Center will be in full swing under Yuna's leadership. Welcome Yuna!
8th Annual Run for Runaways
The 8th annual Run for Runaways will be here before we know it! We still need major sponsors, ad sponsors, and volunteers to help with our big event on November 4, 2006. Please contact Sharon Hall if you would like to serve on the committee or help with one of the many tasks involved in this exciting event.
