Scholarship Award Ceremony on Tuesday
Our Somerset Home Scholarship Award Ceremony will be held at My Place on June 20th at 6:30 PM.
As I mentioned in the last edition of the Executive Director's News, nine of our youth will each be awarded $500 scholarships from the Somerset Home Endowment Fund. Since the announcement of these scholarship awards, five very generous members of the board of trustees have come forward and pledged $4,500 in contributions to the endowment, funding the scholarship awards for this year!
As we look ahead we hope to continue to grow the endowment so that funds will be available to fund scholarship grants for the ever increasing numbers of youth who graduate from our transitional living programs and are college bound.
Please come to the celebration at My Place on Tuesday. I hope to see you there.
Run for Runaways planning begins!
The 8th annual Run for Runaways will be here before we know it! We still need major sponsors, ad sponsors, and volunteers to help with our big event on November 4, 2006. Please contact Sharon Hall if you would like to serve on the committee or help with one of the many tasks involved in this exciting event.
