My Place II

The target date for opening My Place II is set for March 1, 2006. This is an exciting time in the history of the agency as we actualize the last component of our agency's 'Vision 2005' Strategic Plan. When we developed the 'Vision 2005' strategic plan, our goal was to increase our capacity to work with youth 'aging-out' of the child welfare system by providing additional transitional living program opportunities. The development of My Place II represents the final phase of this plan.

The implementation of My Place I and My Place II included raising $1 million for capital expenses (building acquisition, vehicle, equipment, renovation) and $650,000 annually for program support. I am happy to report that we are on schedule and on budget.

It is certainly a great feeling to see the finished product after five years of planning!
