Health Insurance Update
By now everyone should have selected a new plan for our Horizon health insurance which takes effect April 1, 2005. Remember that everyone's insurance card changes April 1, 2005. Be sure to give a copy of your new card to your doctor(s) and pharmacy when filling prescriptions. If you have not selected new coverage you will be converted to the plan that is most similar to the plan you are in. Please see Barbara Kreutzer if you have not made the switch or have questions!
Child Welfare Planning Council Holds Kickoff
On March 14th the Somerset County Child Welfare Planning Council held its kickoff at Somerset County Vocational Technical Schools. The event was attended by more than 125 people representing agencies, community and youth. The Somerset Home had 15 youth and 5 staff attend! Over the coming months the council will convene to map community services for youth and establish board governance. Ultimately the council will support "community collaboratives". The "collaboratives" will target the needs of a community and provide both prevention and intervention services.
Thank you to all who participated and I look forward to seeing you active on the committees.
Join us for a very unique fund raising event to benefit Somerset Home on May 22nd! Click on the logo or visit http://www.diningspaces.com above for more information.
As always, thank you all for your continued hard work on behalf of our youth.
Sincerely,
