Staff attends Symposium 2005
The National Network for Youth held it's 30th Annual Youth Symposium February 6-9, 2005. The National Network is a national organization that promotes best practice and advocates for runaway and homeless youth on capitol hill.
While in Washington, Paula Taylor, Sarah Smith, Lisa D'Ottavio, Alex Ciccone, Anne Bradley Sosis and I visited with elected officials to discuss policy issues effecting runaway and homeless youth in New Jersey.
The President's budget was released on February 7th and included an additional $10 million for transitional living programs.
Board Retreat
The annual board retreat was held on Sunday, January 30th. This year is a particularly important one as our Vision 2005 strategic plan will expire and a new plan (Vision 2010) will be implemented. Staff who are interested in participating in the process please contact Anne Bradley Sosis at absosis@somersethome.org.
Referral Bonus
Did you know? If you refer someone for employment with Somerset Home and they work for six months, you will get a $100 bonus.
As always, thank you all for your continued hard work on behalf of our youth.
Sincerely,
