Lisa - We will miss ya!

Lisa D'Ottavio is moving to Atlanta, Georgia and leaves behind a notable five-year contribution to Somerset Home. Lisa has worked as a resident advisor at Passages, Development Associate and most recently at Brahma House in our Street Outreach program. Lisa is known as a smart, sensitive and well-respected member of our professional team and we will miss her greatly.

My Place Deck Project Completed!

The deck project at My Place is completed and in addition to gaining some very nice outdoor living space, we have gained additional storage space below (pictured above) and most importantly a very solid emergency exit from the second floor. The same builder also repaired the dumpster enclosure at Passages which was destroyed in an accident last month.

Referral Bonus: $100

Remember...if you refer a staff person to the agency and they maintain employment with us for six months, you will get a $100 bonus in your paycheck!

FSA Election Time

Do you have a "flexible spending account"? Somerset Home offers an FSA for all employees which is a handy way to pay for out of pocket expenses related to dependent care or medical expenses using pre-tax dollars. Please see Barbara Kreutzer for the forms and be sure to fill out the direct deposit form so that the funds are automatically returned to your account. You must "elect" a certain amount to be deducted from your pay for this program. For more information contact Barbara Kreutzer.

Free Flu Shots for Somerset Home Employees

On Tuesday, November 15, between 4:00 and 5:00 PM at Passages we will once again be offering free flu shots for all Somerset Home employees. Family members may also get flu shots for our cost of $25 (make checks payable to Somerset Home). Please let your supervisor know so we can get a rough count of how many to expect. Please try to come as close to 4:00 PM as possible.

7th Annual 'Run for Runaways' this Saturday!

The 7th annual Run for Runaways is this Saturday! We still need volunteers to help with our big event on November 5, 2005. Please contact Carla Grabert or Tracey Costanzo if you would like to help with one of the many tasks involved in this exciting event.

Check out the web site at http://www.runforrunaways.com for more details. Funds raised go to directly benefit our residents. I look forward to seeing you there!
