TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME!

On May 19th the staff and youth of Brahma House, Passages and My Place all got to visit the Commerce Park Ballpark for night of fun! Special thanks to the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders for letting us use the luxury sky box for this fun filled activity.

My Place II

Now that My Place I is operational we are actively raising funds both for the purchase of a building and to finance the operations budget for My Place II. The new program will be similar to My Place I but with one big difference, it will be for girls. We look forward to purchasing a property in the Fall and becoming operational in early 2006.

Human Services Providers Rally for 3.3% Contract Increase

Funding from New Jersey is not sufficient for the cost of providing care to the state’s most vulnerable citizens. The actual cost of providing care has increased, in the past twelve years, at twice the rate of increases received by providers. More than 3,000 supporters came out on May 23, 2005 to demonstrate support for a 3.3% 'Cost of Providing Care increase' in the FY 2006 budget and to support legislation that would increase human services contracts annually based on an annual index.

Board of Trustees Member Ray Fantuzzi shows his support of the 3.3% increase.

As always, thank you all for your continued hard work on behalf of our youth.

Sincerely,
