Employee Benefits

NJM Auto Insurance

Did you know that Somerset Home is a member of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA).

One of the NJBIA member benefits is a discounted auto insurance program offered through New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance. This auto insurance program could save you as much as 25% off of your auto insurance premium if you have a good driving record. Click on the link above or visit the NJM web site at njm.com for more information.

Health Insurance Update

On April 1, 2004 our health insurance plan will switch from Oxford to Horizon. Please contact Gary Kreutzer if you do not have your new insurance cards by April 1, 2004.

Computerized Payroll

As you know our payroll is now 100% computer generated and filed electronically. I had announced previously that we were hoping to move to a twice each month payroll. This plan has been abandoned due to logistical problems, therefore the payroll period will remain every two weeks.

Ronald McDonald Children's Charities grants $5,000 to support Transitional Learning Center

Many of you already know that this past year we have increased our fund development activities to help expand and enrich the Transitional Learning Center (TLC) educational program at the Somerset Youth Shelter. We are proud to announce the award of a $5,000 grant from the regional Ronald McDonald Foundation to support our educational program and we are also currently being considered for a $5,000 matching grant from the national Ronald McDonald Foundation in Illinois. Many of you may have noticed the new textbooks and the recently acquired SRA reading lab. The range of classroom activities has greatly increased under the leadership of Mrs. Bender and we are very pleased to see the kids benefit from these efforts.

As always, thank you all for your continued hard work on behalf of our youth.

Sincerely,
